The Journal of Binocular Vision and Ocular Motility (previously the American Orthoptic Journal) was founded in 1950 to enable those in the orthoptic, ophthalmologic and vision science communities to keep abreast of current clinical practice and research in ocular motility and binocular vision. The Journal serves as a forum for the presentation of new material in the fields of pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, amblyopia and strabismus.

In addition to presenting the best of freely submitted articles of a clinical nature, included in each issue are papers presented at regional and national meetings, the Richard G. Scobee Memorial Lecture, the John Pratt-Johnson Lecture, and the Strabismus Symposium presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  The Journal of Binocular Vision and Ocular Motility also publishes abstracts of related literature and state-of-the-art update pieces under the banner, "Everything We Know Today About . . ."

The Journal is published by Taylor and Francis. All Active, Associate and Student members of the AACO are granted full access to both the quarterly electronic and annual print versions of JBVOM.  To access full-text articles from 1950 to the present, members must register their personal accounts online at: www.tandfonline.com/uaoj.  For instructions on how to access your online subscription, please click on the button below.
